This offer may be targeted, since I did also receive an email about the promotion with a unique link to the website. However, many people on Flyertalk have reported success despite not receiving the email. Others have said they received the error notice "The information you entered is not recognized. Please reference your printed offer." So perhaps certain accounts are not eligible.
